Last arrival of Olympic as Biggest Ship in the World

This photo, long tucked away in the Library of Congress photo archives, affords us an amazing view of Olympic as she was wharped into her New York City pier. Here we see her arrival on the afternoon of April 10, 1912. Just a few hours before this picture was taken, her sister ship Titanic left Southampton for this very port. OF course, Titnaic was destined never to reach this port, giving this image a rather haunting quality, don't you think?
